Application

  • Katagon is designed for early to mid-season postemergence applications. It is powerful enough for a one-pass postemergence program when tank mixed with atrazine for enhanced weed control.1 When used in a tank mix with atrazine, application must occur before corn reaches 12 inches high.
  • With a wide application window, Katagon can be applied to corn from V1 up to 20-inch-tall corn or V5, whichever is most restrictive.
  • In fields where tough-to-manage or resistant weed species are present, you can use Katagon as part of a two-pass sequential weed control program.

Primary Crops

Corn (field, seed, silage)

Field trial data

Delivering  broad-spectrum postemergence weed control activity, Katagon is a flexible fit for growers wanting the freedom to farm with less restrictions and limitations.

In product development trials, Katagon has shown high levels of performance in controlling emerged broadleaf and grass weeds, including biotypes resistant to glyphosate, PPO, triazine and ALS.

Benefits in crop rotation

Katagon’s unique co-formulation allows for use in different types of field corn and diverse environmental conditions. In test trials, field and seed corn have shown no signs of sensitivity or injury to Katagon when used according to label guidelines.

Providing corn growers with added advantage in planting soybeans the following season, Katagon reduces concerns with carryover as often reported with other Group 27 herbicides.
