Crop Development

SYCON

Sycon delivers a unique nutritional complex designed to proactively mitigate abiotic stress and support nutrient efficiency to help crops thrive in adverse conditions. Containing six natural metabolites in a potassium complex, Sycon is designed to support plant health and help reduce stress.

By linking plant nutrition, water use and the plant’s energy-producing systems, Sycon increases overall plant vitality.

Product Benefits

  • Maximizes plant nutrient availability and affects the entire photosynthetic process.
  • Improves nutrient uptake, transport, storage and mobilization to increase nutrient use efficiency.
  • Mitigates biotic and abiotic stress with a range of physical barriers to disease.
  • Is a complementary partner to fungicide programs with an easy-to-use formulation.
  • Ensures optimum macro and micronutrient availability and water utilization throughout the plant’s growing season.

The Science

Sycon has three main effects in the plant and multiple metabolites contributing to each effect.

Nutrient Use Efficiency (NUE): Sycon increases the uptake, transport, assimilation, storage and re-mobilization of nitrogen-containing metabolites (amino acids) and other important nutrients, while optimizing water utilization throughout the growing season.

Energy: Sycon supports CO₂ acquisition and energy production throughout the photosynthetic process to help plants reach higher yield potential under varying conditions.

Plant Vitality: When faced with abiotic and biotic stressors, Sycon’s metabolites help regulate the plant’s immune response by stimulating the plant’s natural SAR and SIR (biotic stress) pathways. By doing so, the plant increases its concentrations of immune compounds and secondary metabolites, further mitigating abiotic stressors for a robust overall stress response.

A Venn diagram depicts three overlapping circles labeled "Energy," "Vitality," and "Nutrient Use Efficiency." In the center, where all circles intersect, the diagram highlights the synergy between these concepts, emphasizing their interconnection and importance in optimizing health and performance.

Primary Crops

Cereals, corn, soybeans, cotton, sugarcane, peanuts, potatoes, vines

Field trial data

Research showed Sycon-treated fields resulted in higher yields versus the untreated check and/or a standard insecticide/fungicide program for multiple crops.
